Operation Backyard Patio Update!

Well after a lot of painting and power washing we have progress. Here are a few after shots of the patio makeover. Still have some things to do but it is definitely better than it was. I love the look. It is carefree and relaxing. A perfect spot for a lunch or dinner or drinks with friends. Have a look:

The lanterns are from Ikea and the silver pots for my herbs. I have some things to add to the walls and I am redoing a chandelier to hang above the table. Metal, crystals and rope!! I have also moved my plants around and added some more so I will have to show you those pics as the summer progresses. I also have the other side of the patio to do. I would like to have a fire pit and am working on having a bar under our kitchen window and adding some stools kinda like this pic:

Project Backyard Patio Underway

Summer Vacation is making me get our landscaping projects all planned out. I am starting on our Backyard Patio. We have a patio under our deck on the East side of the house. My plan it to put a table and chairs down there and make it feel intimate and relaxing. These are some of my inspiration pics:


I love the white painted table.



I love the white curtains and the lanterns with candles. I also love the whiskey barrels and touches of wood accents with the greenery and white.

I love the greenery! I would like them in galvanized and black pots though.

So, I painted our old dining table white and the chairs gray.

I also bought white curtains from Ikea for $4.99 a pair to hang! Score!

I also have ferns in black pots and white impatients and geraniums ready to go in galvanized pots and I think I will put some lavender in my old galvanized wash tubs! I am so excited to put everything together. I just need to get the deck stained and then I can transform this ugly space into my relaxing patio. Stay tuned...
